How come no SMRT staff noticed the vandalised MRT train and even let it ply its usual route?

SINGAPORE, Friday 4 June 2 010 (AFP) - A Swiss man has been arrested in Singapore on suspicion of breaking into a high-security train depot and spray-painting graffiti on a train, an offence punishable by caning, police said Friday.
The break-in, believed to have taken place before dawn on May 17, was not immediately detected and the train took its usual route in full view of commuters, one of whom filmed it and posted a clip on video-sharing site Youtube.
"We confirm that a 33-year-old Swiss male national has been arrested in relation to the case," a spokesman for the Singapore Police Force told AFP. Another suspect, a man from Britain, had already returned home before police could arrest him.
The train has been scrubbed clean but a clip on video-sharing site Youtube -- still visible shows the vandalised train as it left an MRT station.

To be frank, I think the graffiti is quite artistic and eye-catching. It makes the train more vibrant.
However, I am concerned that security was so poor that two men could sneak in and spray paint graffiti in a high-security depot. What if a terrorist had sneaked in to plant a bomb instead? No one woud have known!
Well,I agree that it is very nice. It's a nice decoration.I wonder if the security guards were slacking...or even sleeping!Who knows? They would definitely be told off!And who knows what more than that...
Maybe the security guards will be brought to jail... JKJK
Agree with Miss Ho , the graffiti is quite nice.
Maybe the SMRT staffs would try considering not clearing it ?
Maybe to ask the man to do more graffiti? Well, it is quite NICE!
Well, some passengers taking the MRT realized...but not SMRT company! They realized the graffiti only 2(or 3?) days later and THEN called the police.
